Activity: Insect footprints
Atividade: Pegadas de insetos

This activity brought the artist Regina Silveira as a visual reference. She has a series of black images of insects of various sizes spread across walls, floors, and other surfaces in different exhibition spaces. From the images of insects presented by the artist,  students were challenged to produce footprints imitating movements made by insects and using white paper and black ink for that. After the impressions were dry, students could build compositions with them in any space of their houses. They worked with positive and negative space, spatial notion, and creativity, connecting with their reality and expanding their cultural repertoire.

Essa atividade trouxe a artista Regina Silveira como referência visual. Ela tem uma série de imagens pretas de insetos de vários tamanhos espalhados por paredes, pisos e outras superfícies em diferentes espaços expositivos.A partir das imagens de insetos apresentadas pelo artista, os alunos foram desafiados a produzir pegadas imitando movimentos feitos por insetos e utilizando papel branco e tinta preta para isso. Depois que as impressões estavam secas, os alunos podiam construir composições com elas em qualquer espaço de suas casas. Trabalharam com espaço positivo e negativo, noção espacial e criatividade, conectando-se com sua realidade e ampliando seu repertório cultural.
