III. MIDDLE YEARS - Identity and Art


PROJECT: IDENTITY AND ART

PROJETO: IDENTIDADE E ARTE





Students used their research skills to look at culture, nationality, likes, dislikes, family, favourite things. They developed collage and image selection skills and an understanding refinement to a final solution. Students received feedback from their classmates in response to their ́identity boxes ́.

Process Journal: Research, developing skills, thinking creatively, responding.

Final piece: Mixed media (drawing, painting, collage, photography and found objects.)

Students became more aware of their own culture and personal histories by completing this unit. They also learnt to appreciate and show respect for the different perspectives expressed through their classmates' artwork.

Os alunos usaram suas habilidades de pesquisa para observar cultura, nacionalidade, gostos, desgostos, família, coisas favoritas. Eles desenvolveram habilidades de colagem e seleção de imagens e um refinamento de compreensão para uma solução final. Os alunos receberam feedback de seus colegas em resposta às suas ́caixas de identidade ́.

Diário de Processo: Pesquisa, desenvolvimento de habilidades, pensamento criativo, resposta.

Peça final: Mídia mista (desenho, pintura, colagem, fotografia e objetos encontrados.)

Os alunos tornaram-se mais conscientes de sua própria cultura e histórias pessoais completando esta unidade. Eles também aprenderam a apreciar e mostrar respeito pelas diferentes perspectivas expressas através das obras de arte de seus colegas.
